Thousand Rogues

Thousand Rogues is a meta-humorous nod to the countless attempts it took me to get this right (okay, maybe five—but who's counting?). At its core, it’s a roguelike adventure crafted from equal parts persistence, passion, and a bit of D&D chaos.

The main storyline is inspired by a wildly successful D&D campaign I ran as a Dungeon Master. Much of the credit goes to my players, who twisted my carefully planned railroad tracks into loops, detours, and moments of brilliance. Their creativity, humor, and unpredictability shaped a story that’s begging to be shared.

This is my dream game, and while the advice "Don’t make your dream game as your first project" looms large, I think I’ve earned an exception. With over 12 years of experience as a software developer, this isn’t just about creating a game—it’s about the journey of making something I can proudly call my own.
